Monster Themed Birthday Party

The right theme for a birthday party makes it a memorable moment in time. Calling all monsters! There’s a frightfully good time to be had at a Monsters themed birthday party! All monster characters can provide inspiration for every aspect of your party planning. Once you’ve selected a Monster theme birthday party, figure out how you can incorporate it into everything. Here are few tips on how to get started.


Monster Themed Birthday Party Invitations:
Send perfectly themed Monster invitations that feature the scheme and will appeal to kids. Don’t forget to remind your guests to wear their costumes! Free online invitations are the easiest, fastest way to invite guests to your party.

Monster Themed Birthday Party Decorations:
Use creative Monster decorations that complement your theme. Set the scene some monster decorations may frighten younger children.
  • Hang a sign on your front door that says “Warning, monsters inside! Enter at your own risk!”
  • Make a kid-sized monster body to greet your guests as they arrive. Trace around your child’s body on poster paper and then paint the shape to look like Frankenstein or Godzilla. Cut out the monster body and attach it to sturdy cardboard using spray adhesive. Next, cut a hole the size of a child’s face where the monster’s face should be. Lean your monster against the back side of a chair, and take photos on party day of each guest looking through the monster face.
Monster Themed Birthday Party Dessert:
Bake a creative Monster cake to serve at the party. And cookie Monster cupcakes are an alternative to Cookie Monster cakes. Decorate the cupcakes with a few minor tweaks. Bake the cupcakes in blue cupcake cups. Once cool, decorate each cupcake with blue frosting. Use two small marshmallows for the eyes. Insert a small chocolate chip cookie in the mouth.

Monster Themed Birthday Party Games:
Entertain the kids throughout the Monster party with Monster games. Play “Cookie Monster Toss” and “Pin the Chocolate Chip Cookie on Cookie Monster.” For Cookie Monster Toss, supply the kids with light brown bean bags that have small black dotted stickers on them. Identify the bean bags as “cookies.” Place either a white (for milk) or blue (for Cookie Monster) hula hoop on the ground about 10 feet away from the children. Instruct the children to toss the cookies into either Cookie Monster’s mouth (blue hula hoop) or the glass of milk (white hula hoop). For the Pin the Chocolate Chip Cookie on Cookie Monster game, hang up a large picture of Cookie Monster. Blind fold the children and give them each a cookie sticker to try and stick on Cookie Monster’s mouth.

Monster themed birthday party have the potential to be huge hits with guests. Your guests will appreciate the effort you put in to create an atmosphere for your party that is based entirely around the theme.  Of course, you should encourage guests to dress in costumes that are appropriate for the designated theme. You can even do things like create a potluck list related to the Monster themed birthday party you’ve selected.
